After a loss to the alumni, the Tigers played the William Chrisman eleven from Independence. Lee's Sum- mit won this game by the score of 12 to 6. The following week they journeyed to the Pem-Day gridiron. This con- test came out as a tieg 6-6. Next came the battle with the Roosters from Pleasant Hill. This also ended in a tieg 6-6. Then came a trip to the field of Odessa. The Tigers romped this team to the tune of 21-6. Butler was to furnish the opposition for the next game. They were trounced soundly by the Tigers, losing by the score of 27-6. On the following week-end, the Harrisonville Wildcats visited the local field. They were downed 14-0. Next came Raytown, a team composed of several boys whose weight was somewhat over 200 pounds. The Tigers won this game 13-0, thus clinching the foot- ball championship for the second consecutive year. This wound up a very successful season for the Lee's Summit Gridsters. As a reward for their play of the season, the lettermen were presented with miniature gold footballs by the school athletic department. This season also ended the play for several of the team who had played very important roles in the success of the team. Among them was Arnold Wealand. For four years Arnold has been the inspiration of the players on the field. He has been selected on the all-star list almost every year. Also on this year's all-star list were the following: Arnold Wealand, Enoch Anderson, B'ay'1nondDyke, Delbert Hamblin, Ralph Hook, Elston Hopkins. i I ,, ,,,,, . .,, ... . .
