The Final Act As the huge curtain j opened we found I ourselves before a vast audience, each awaiting our upcoming performance. Could we give the presentation everyone expected? Maybe not, but we had to try. So with the squeeze of a hand, we began our debut. We were a little timid in our new roles at first, but as the drama progressed, we hardly even noticed that our lives were passing away. Act I was filled with new beginnings. Our days consisted of childish giggles and ABC’s, book satchels and buses, and red galoshes for splashing through the puddles. Act II was yet another new experience. We changed both physically and emotionally. The guy who once put lizards down your back asked if he could walk you to class. The braces went on and the pigtails went down. Little by little the child of yesterday was fading away. Somewhere between the first grade and the first kiss we have been transformed from naive, innocent children into confident, mature adults ready to play any part for which the world has cast us. As we begin this, The Final Act, let us reflect on the performance that we have given and remember the forgotten lines, the applause, the missed cues, and the ovations. For each of these has helped to create the unique individuals that we have become. Student Life: Chris Barentz

Dedication If all the world is a stage as Shakespeare us believe, then each of us has our own role to play in the drama of life. Occasionally you come upon a person whose character is extremely unique, one who has the distinct ability to touch the lives of everyone around him. We are fortunate to have among us such a Realizing the important part he has played in our lives, the Leeder Staff proudly dedicates the 1987 Leeder to Mr. Ronnie Robbins. Whether building our vocabulary, our character, or our scenery, he has never forgotten to be our friend. His jovial personality and sympathetic ear have continuously been a comfort. As the curtain falls on this phase of our lives, and we prepare to step forth onto a larger stage, we leave with him our heartfelt thanks and appreciation. Congratulations Mr. Rob, our teacher, mentor, and friend.
