Subject to state regulations, the duties of the Board of Edu- cation are definitely outlined by the school rode. Collectivelv, these duties concern the supervision of all school activities, finances, buildings, grounds, supplies, and curriculum. All receive due consideration. At meetings of this group, vacancies are filled, resignations are accepted, taxes are levied and provisions BOARD are made for the purchase of books and school supplies. Through the efforts of these friends of education, school repairs have been made and in this manner the path of knowledge is made smoother and more accessible to the younger generation of Leechburg. At the end of the school year the Board of Education must begin Working for the next school session. WV e owe our appreciation to these educa- tion minded citizens. U
