To you, Mr. Allera, we, the Senior Class of 1954, dedicate our yearbook. Mr. Allera, our instrumental music instructor, came to our school with an impressive musical background. NVe are especially proud to dedicate this book to him as he is one of our own native uboysf' After attending Leechburg High School, he went to Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh Musical Institute. He also played with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra for several years. An ambition of almost every stu- dent is to at some time or other be in the band MR. LEO ALLERA or orchestra under the baton of Mr. Allera. He is always ready to assist students with their problems and to help arrange assemblies and programs and even to participate in them when- ever music is needed. The musical prowess of Leechburg High School has been recognized throughout the valley and much of the sparkle and glamour of our athletic events can be credit- ed to his direction. His thoughts and aims are always for the betterment of our school and for this reason, we have dedicated this book to him.
