it IN M EM ORIAM Mr. J. H Thompson, in passing from our midst, in the words of the poet, has truly left his footprints on the sands of time. His noble character and high ideals won for him the respect of all people. Mr. Thompson worked Freely and untiringly for the cause of education, having served twenty-seven years on the County Board of Education and forty-seven years on the Lee Woodard School Board. True greatness is measured by a man's service to his fellowman, so we have indeed lost a great man in our community in the passing of Mr. Thompson.
