Carnabery St. is the Westchester house of fashions, owned and operated by Geraldine O'Neal and Linda Fuller. Their leading designers are Ellen Jamison and Mary Patterson. I look down Broadway I see two familiar names in lights. Well, unless my eyes are deceiving me it looks like Dora Holland and Margaret Cuff starring in the Broadway musical ''What a way to Go. What is this I see? Three distinguished gentlemen teach- ing in Macon, Georgia. They are Lonnie Taylor who teaches shorthand, Frank Tyree an Agriculture major and James Patterson a Physical Education coach. Victory is the word for Donell Simmons. He has won 30 major awards in the Atlan- tic Speed Car races. He accredits his success to the fine maintenance service to his mechanic Roger Menefee. (Keep up the good work). What do we have here another Elizabeth Taylor? She is glamorous, talented, intel- lectual and a thrilling actress. She is no other than Arlene Reynolds. It's blast-off time. What! That's not a lady astronaut, or is it? Up, up and away she goes into the wild blue yonder. What's that written on the outside of the capsule. It looks like Explorer No. 9 operated by Rebecca Holland. (HELP) I do believe we have another Picasso. Betty Belcher's latest painting hangs in the National Art Museum, and her sister Vonnie is doing well in interior decorating. And your favorite D.J. on station H.I.P. in Washington D.C. is Celeste Levisy. All day long she plays groovy records and sings I love you ya, ya, ya. She isn't another Aretha Franklin, but her voice is a combination of Carla Thomas, Diana Ross and Pearl Bailey. Her famous hit Soul Serenade sold over a million | copies. Marian Prunty the greatest. And Deneice Manns, Adean Stockton and Wanda Smith are prominent secretaries for the Atlantic Life Insurance Co. in Arizona. Look here, Deax Patterson owns the largest dance studio in Hawaii. 29

© CLASS PROPHECY (4 I, Arlene Reynolds, your prophetess of the class of 1968, bid you listen to words of wisdom. I shall speak what was revealed unto me as I looked into my crystal ball. I see men and women who were once my classmates at Lee M. Waid now citizens in the world of society. I see Harry Board as a wealthy cattle rancher in the foothills of Kentucky. Ina twelve-story building on 5th avenue in New York City, I see Ida Belcher performing her duties as an executive secretary to Howard Hughes the well-known multi- millionaire. Among the most prominent Negro scientists of our times are Alvin Clements, anu- clear physicist at Cape Kennedy, Florida. Accompaning him as his assistant is Pro- fessor Linda Hopkins. As I thumb through the pages of Mademoiselle I see a stunning young lady all dressed in evening attire. She is no other than, Betty Marie Fralin. On the campus of U.C.L.A. I see a famous football player talking to Bill Russell, coach of the Boston Celtics. Oh my! Can that be William Dixon? My crystal ball is growing dim, but oh! Who is this I see? I see Brenda Toney as first lady to the first Negro president of the United States. Can you believe it! Who is that nice young congressman cruising around the Pacific on his yacht? Well bless my soul, it's congressman Charles Price of Va. In the famous French restaurant La Cusine the chief Chef is preparing his famous dish Crepe Suzette. He is one of our former Virginians lewrence Mack. He is about to serve this dish to several digni- taries. They are no other than Jean Holland, Leroy McHimer and his interpreter Ar- villa Gaod. London, England is the place of mod fashion. Among the famous fashion salons on 28
