Class Flower Class Colors Yellow and Green Yellow Roses Class Motto Never Dodge Difficulty: Meet It; Greet It; Beat It! ———EEE——————————E eee Class Song We'll Be Friends So True Tune: Smoke Gets in Your Eyes Though, childhood days have flown, and of course we're grown; oh, oh, still we can't forget, how our hearts were set, days when we first met. We've had our ups and downs, sometimes wearing frowns; oh, oh, but when frowns were gone smiles still lingered on, we were not alone. Yesterdays have come and gone so fast, we tried to do, our parts-but we'll keep the memories of the past; somewhere within our hearts. { Though, friends may come and go, this we'll always know; oh, oh, skies aren't all ways blue, no matter what we do; we'll be friends so true; we'll be friends so true; we'll be friends so true. I shall speak what was revealed unto me as I looked into the land of the future. I see men and women, who were once my classmates at Waid now changed into citizens of the world outside and making quite a success of their lives. I cansee Mary Basham, a famous Singer, under contract with Columbia records. My vision now searches into the city of New York. There on 5th Avenue is a famous artist, Barbara Witcher, just returning from Spain where one of her sketches won first place in the National Art Contest. Imagine Now! Larry Turner, a successful manager of the 220 Club. His assistant's are Shirley Terry and Lassie Toney. Among the most prominent Negro teachers of Virginia are Mary Kasey, a History teacher, graduated from UCLA in Los Angeles, California; McArthur Holland, a Biology teacher, graduated from Howard University, Washington. It started four long years ago; now they have reached their goal, Bobby Taylor, Billy Muse, and Richard Claytor were successful in launching a man into space and returning him safely back to earth. I see some of the finest mechanics- Yes! They are Leo Taylor and Earlie Cobbs. She got it at last, after going through many hardships, Rebecca Mack is now in New Jersey working as a private secretary to William Young, who is the President of Esso Standard Oil Company. In the small state of Rhode Island, many buildings are being erected. I see two carpenters doing fine work onthem. They are none other than Charlie Brown and James Wade. Geraldine Witcher, Norma Taylor, Emma Holland and Patricia Arrington are secretaries for the Atlantic Life Insurance Company in Phoenix, Arizona. Now I see three young ladies walking around the campus at Columbia Universi- ty. They are Phyllis Trent, Nancy Turner, and Peggy Wright. The President of the National Broadcasting Company is Walter Stovall. His secretary is none other than Vivian Holland. Leo Taylor and Will Mose Cooke are Disc Jockeys for Randy's Record Shop. The Patterson girls, Ruth and Mabel workfor Whirling Modeling Company. Darlene Kasey iS now amanicurist at an exclusive shop in Massachusetts. Margaret Turner and Elmer Tyree are owners of the largest dance studio in Baltimore, Maryland. Now to my amazement, I see, located in the city o1 Chicago, Eugene Mason, a salesman for the Ford Motor Company. Elaine Smith is the stenographer for a famous young doctor, William Board. Wallace McGhee and Robert Webb are now very successful infielders for the wos Angeles, California Dodgers. Martha Moorman and Caroldeen Witcher have just finished their latest Broadway musical entitled ''Leave Before Its Too Late .
