Coffee Stains Lee’s Record Dominating the first half of the Lee v. Coffee game, the Generals suffered a close loss to the Yellow Jackets. As the first half ended the Generals were ahead 9-0, but the second half turned the game around and Coffee managed to defeat the Generals 13-9. Generals Spoil Athens’ Homecoming The Generals ruined homecoming for the Athens Golden Eagles by a score of 30-8. On Lee’s first posses- sion of the ball Lee scored a 21-yard touchdown. On the second possession 67 yards were gained and the score rose to 12-0. After halftime the Generals scored again to make the score 18-0. The Eagles fumbled the ball allowing Lee to score again. The score was then 24-0. A blocked punt on the Athens 15-yard line meant a final score of 30-8 and a victory for the Generals. Bankowski Strives For Victory Bart Bankowski. as a replacement for Dave Ellison who had surgery earlier in the week, helped the Generals come close to a victory over the Tigers on their Homecoming. With 8:53 left in the first half, the Generals led 7-0. Then just before halftime Lee scored again and led 14-7 going into halftime. Grissom then kicked a field goal cutting the General lead to 14-9. Then Grissom scored again ending a homecom- ing game victory for them at 17-14.
