Mr. Owen feels that we have a tremen- dous atmosphere for progress. He thinks that if we all work together and have good input from our students, then we will pro- duce a happier, more productive place of which we will all be proud. Working with students from many dif- ferent backgrounds, we will make our school more like the real world than any other school in Huntsville. Although sometimes it may be difficult to work together, we will still stand together to de- fend our place in today's society. Mr. Owen also feels that by improving the quality and standards of a Lee High graduate's education, then Lee graduates will be in greater demand in top positions in the business world of to- day. As Mr. Owen puts it, If we’re going to have progress, we're going to have to want it and cooperate and agree on cer- tain goals. □ □□□ Opening 7

As Lee's new principal, Mr. Tom Owen would say, “We're all one big family now. Mr. Owen feels that the students at Lee will be building a bet- ter future for themselves as well as reputation for the school if they all Moving On to a Better Future work together and cooperate with the faculty. Along with improving the quali- ty of the education at Lee and the expectation of the students, some remodeling work has been done. A couple of examples are the addition of walls throughout the building and the construction of a senior lounge. 6 Opening
