Laura Mendel was a first place National Merit Semi-Finalist this year. She also was in the Honor Society for two years and was a member of the Who's Who Among American High School Students. And Represent Their Class Well. Lynn Stuckey won the Century III Leaders Scholarship at Lee and was runner- up in the National Merit Semi-Finalist competition. He represented Lee High School at Boys’ State, is Parliamentarian of the Student Council, was also chosen an Out- standing Senior and Citizen of the Month. Cheryl Toney placed first in the National Achievement Semi-finalist and was runner-up in the Century III Leaders Scholarship. She serves as First Vice-President on the Student Council and also is President of the ICC. Features 23

Seniors ay Honorable Achievements . . . Julie Smith was chosen as Lee's DAR Good Citizen, because of her qualities in the fields of leadership, dependability, service and patriotism. Julie has been a Student Council Officer for two years, and served as president this year. She attended the Pres- idential Classroom for Young Americans in Wash., D.C. her junior year. Julie is on the earhook staff for her third year and served as Editor this year. She was a member of the Board of Advisors to the City Board of Education, and on the Board of Ecologi- cal Environmental Improvements. Karen King was the Girls' State Representative from Lee. She is in the Anchor Club, represents her homeroom on the student council and was chosen as an outstand- ing Senior. Karen has also been Sgt.-at-Arms for her Junior and Senior classes. Brian Chunn has been very active his Senior year. He represented Lee High School at Boys’ State and was a Presidential Classroom Delegate. He has worked on the yearbook staff for two years, is on the Student Council, and was a member on the Environmental Advisory Committee. Teachers Nominate Tommy Albright played football at U e for four years. He also was a member of the Key Club «luring all of his four years at Lie, serving as President his Senior year. Tommy was also chosen a Class Favorite two years. Curtis Bridges was his Sophomore and Junior Class Trea- surer, and was the Student Couneil 2nd Vice-President his Senior year. He was a Sophomore (Candidate for the Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation and was a memtier of the National Honor Soriety. • Brian Chunn has been a member of Lit’s wrestling team for three years, and was third in Stale wrestling his Junior year. He was a Presidential Classroom delegate and a Boys’ Slate Representative his Junior year. Brian was his Sophomore Class Sgl.-at-Arms, and a memlier of the Silver Sabre Staff for two years. Nelda Daniel was a memlier of the Gmfederettes her first three years at Lee. She was on the Silver Satin Staff for three years, and this year is the Managing Editor.
