SENIORS 20 Senior Officers inspire Class Spirit Sponsors, Miss Worsham and Col. Perry, helped the class through thick and thin. The senior class began the year at a slow pace because of a controversy in class symbols. After three weeks of indecision, the 73er ' s voted and remained staunch and loyal to the L ' il Red Hen (alias, super chicken). Then things began to roll. There was the annual trip to Annapolis and the election of class superlatives. The seniors sponsored the first dance and won the pep stick at three out of five pep rallies. On October 31, the class celebrated Hallow¬ een by costuming as animals, Grecians, and even Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum. In November, many seniors became in¬ volved in the class play. They held the spa¬ ghetti dinner and took over the adminis¬ tration for a day. All of these events made for an enjoyable and memorable year. But, throughout the year, each senior silently anticipated that final day, the most joyous and, yet most sorrowful event, graduation.
