Does the teacher see that transistor in his hand? Math The Math Department broadens its horizons each year by extending old courses or adding new ones. This year Algebra I was extended over a two year period instead of the usual one year period. An experiment in the teaching of Introductory Algebra has been conducted by the School Math Study Group for the past two years. Other math courses offered to Lee ' s stu¬ dents are Algebra II and III, Intermediate Algebra, Plane and Solid Geometry, Trigonometry, and Functions and Matrices. fl 27

A new course in chemistry was offered along with the standard chemistry course. Chemical Bond Approach deals with chemical bonds and requires a greater knowledge of electricity and mathematics than does standard chemistry. Both the Physical Science Study Program and conventional physics were taught. All of the biology classes used the Green Version Ecological approach of the Biological Science Curriculum Study Course this year. All of the courses offered by the Science Department at Lee give students a fascinat¬ ing look into the world of science, presenting them with opportunities and challenges that can lead to exciting and profitable careers. “Let ' s add a few drops of water to the HC1 . . “Hey!
