BEAVER LANIER Busily involved in all phases of school life, Beaver Lanier always has time for a friendly smile. His agility in all of the competitive sports around Lee has made him one of our most valuable athletes. Beaver is president of the LU Club, vice-president of his Senior Class, member of Gam- ma Hi-Y, and mascot of Delta Y-Teens. His well rounded personality has inspired the phrase Leave it to Beaverl' for one who continues to lead our school to further heights of success. DONNA DONNELLY Our generation is actively interested in the realm of sportsg one of the most interested persons in this field is Donna Donnelly. Donna has proven her abilities on the girls' softball team for three years, the basketball team for one year, and the volleyball team, of which she was captain for two years. She was also an enthusiastic Powder in the Annual Powder-Puff Game. In Donna's opinion, participa- tion in Letterettes is more time well spent and one cannot help being thankful that she is such a fine representative of Lee High School. But all play is almost as bad as no play so Donna contributes her enthusiasm to the Rainbow Girls, Future Teachers, and by participating in the Senior Girls Jubilee, all of which combine to make her a Worth- while person to know. 27

JOHNNY RICHARDSON President of the Senior Class, Treasurer of the L-Club, Mascot of Kappa Y-Teens, Sergeant-at-Arms of Kappa Hi-Y, President of the Junior Classical League, 1963, and Mr. Physique of Lee, 1963, are all worthy titles belonging to Johnny Richardson. A three time Calendar winner and familiar face in both the Mr. Lee Hi and the Mr. Y-Teen Contests, Johnny is a respected, well liked personality in the busy world of Lee. Johnny's avid interest in all forms of athletics is apparent to those who have observed his active participation on the varsity football, baseball, and basketball teams. An Outstanding Graduate, an outstanding person is Johnny Richardson. LORRAINE RUDD One of Lee's most versatile personalities is Lorraine Rudd. The numerous titles she holds include President of Sophomore Girls, Chorus, Mascot of Junior Boys, Presi- dent of Junior Girls, Mascot of Delta Hi-Y, Miss Per- sonality of the Miss Lee Hi Contest, 1965, Co-Captain of the Puff football team, and Treasurer of the Senior Class. In her junior year Lorraine was awarded the coveted Virgie H. Cone Award for the most outstanding junior girl. As an annual representative, a member of Future Home- makers, Civinettes, National Honor Society, and Little Women, a Red Cross representative, a contestant in the Miss Hi-Y contest, and a Student Council Representative, this two-time Calendar winner and two-year cheerleader is truly a progressive member of our New Generation. 26

MARY HULL Mary Hull is known by her friends, both in the student body and on the faculty, as one of Lee's most conscientious participants in the many activities in which she has an interest. Her interests-science, art, and math-fare re- flected in the numerous organizations in which she has played an integral part. Mary has been a member of the Joe Berg Science Seminar, a District Science Fair partici- pant, a member of the Science Club, a Student Council Representative, a worker in the School Store, a member of the 1963 Blue and Gray staff, a panelist on the High School Bowl Team, a member of Lambda Y-Teens, and a member of the National Honor Society. Maryls talent in debating, developed through her vital interest in the National Forensic League, has taken her as district cham- pion to state competition twice. Her scholastic ability has won her the honor of being a National Merit Finalist. STEVE KERSEY The president of Lee's Chapter of the National Thes- pian Society, Steve Kersey, is active in other phases of Lee life, too. Steveas ability as a debater has brought many honors to the National Forensic League at Lee. He also serves as secretary of the Riverside Chapter of the Order of De Molay, and holds membership in Fleur de Lis, the Red Cross, Lee's Travel Club, the Junior Classical League, and the Latin Club. It is to people like Steve Kersey, who, in part, main- tains the honorable name of our school, that Lee owes a debt of gratitude. 28
