TOM HARPER Coming from Hillsborough High in Tampa, Florida, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, the Latin Forum, the tennis team, the H-Club, the Science Seminar and a prospective member of Alpha Society and tied for the top of the Junior Class, is Tom Harper. At Lee, Tom has not let up his lively pace. He is a member of the Junior Classical League and the National Honor Society, in the latter he is honored with the position of Sergeant-at-Arms. One of Lee's finest scholars, Tom re- ceived a letter of commendation from National Merit. MARY GARLINGTON Mary Garlington is an exceptionally good student and an active worker in the school. From her sophomore year, when she joined Lambda Y-Teens and Little Women, she has risen to the offices of Treasurer and Corresponding Secretary of Y-Teens and Telephone Chairman and Ticket Chairman of the latter group. Other offices she holds in her busy senior year include Chaplain of Civinettes and Secretary of the National Honor Society, Mary has proven herself an able representative of the school also as a member of the Junior Classical League, a Traveler repre- sentative for two years, a Student Council Representative, and a member of the Junior and Senior Girls' Advisory Councils. 25

SHARON BOWMAN Sharon Bowman may be described, without reservation, as one of the most outstanding students at Lee. Not only does she excell scholastically as a member of the National Honor Society, she participates in the orchestra, the band and is a member of the Library Council as well. She ac- companied the performances of Bye-Bye Birdief' and '6Oklahoma,' as part of her duties in the orchestra, lending to the success of the performances her talents with the violin. Honor is not foreign to Sharon either, for her life in high school has been one which abounds in glory. She is vice-president of her youth group at church, at member of the Jacksonville Youth Symphony, was on the Junior Girls Advisory Council, and was a finalist for the Virgie Cone Award. Sharon's honor is Leels honor and, for that reason, Lee is proud. RUSS GOODNOW One of Leeas most outstanding scholastic leaders is Russ Goodnow. His ability and accomplishments have distinguished him in the senior class as a National Merit Finalist and a member of the National Honor Society. In his spare time Russ enjoys the activities of Delta Hi-Y, of which he is a member. Russ is an able representative of his school as a member of the varsity swimming team. Russ Goodnow is an honor to his school and to his fellow scholars. 24

JOHNNY RICHARDSON President of the Senior Class, Treasurer of the L-Club, Mascot of Kappa Y-Teens, Sergeant-at-Arms of Kappa Hi-Y, President of the Junior Classical League, 1963, and Mr. Physique of Lee, 1963, are all worthy titles belonging to Johnny Richardson. A three time Calendar winner and familiar face in both the Mr. Lee Hi and the Mr. Y-Teen Contests, Johnny is a respected, well liked personality in the busy world of Lee. Johnny's avid interest in all forms of athletics is apparent to those who have observed his active participation on the varsity football, baseball, and basketball teams. An Outstanding Graduate, an outstanding person is Johnny Richardson. LORRAINE RUDD One of Lee's most versatile personalities is Lorraine Rudd. The numerous titles she holds include President of Sophomore Girls, Chorus, Mascot of Junior Boys, Presi- dent of Junior Girls, Mascot of Delta Hi-Y, Miss Per- sonality of the Miss Lee Hi Contest, 1965, Co-Captain of the Puff football team, and Treasurer of the Senior Class. In her junior year Lorraine was awarded the coveted Virgie H. Cone Award for the most outstanding junior girl. As an annual representative, a member of Future Home- makers, Civinettes, National Honor Society, and Little Women, a Red Cross representative, a contestant in the Miss Hi-Y contest, and a Student Council Representative, this two-time Calendar winner and two-year cheerleader is truly a progressive member of our New Generation. 26
