a enior lass Histor In the year 1962 we entered Lee High School as sophomores. Mr. Kirkham, our principal, welcomed us on Orientation Day and prepared us for the coming years. As sophomores we found ad- justing to the new faces and schedules our biggest problem. To begin our sophomore year, we elected Julie Graessle and Holt Maness presidents of Sophomore Girls and Sophomore Boys. The Sophomore Girls sponsored a talent show and the Sophomore boys gave us plenty of time to get our new Blue and Gray Annuals signed. At the close of the year we found the many new faces were becoming very familiar, but it was time for a vacation from books and the many school activities. The brief vacation came to an end and we returned as juniors. That year we elected Lorraine Rudd and Terry Eagerton to lead us. Both clubs put on very successful fashion shows, and at the end of the year the student body elected Rob Bennett as the Student Council President for the coming year. Our senior year came so quickly and we have found it to be the most exciting of all. Johnny Richardson assumed the office of President of the Senior Class and has led us well. The Senior Class 20 was very busy with the Calendar Contest, Spring Dance, and the very exciting preparation for Graduation. The Senior Fellows elected Bill Stephens as their leader and the Senior Girls elected Susan Johnston as theirs. To lead the scholars the National Honor Society elected Holt Maness as their President. There have cer- tainly been many memorable events during this final year. We can never forget the Senior Fellowis Musical and the hard work pun into the Senior Girl's Jubilee. When we think of hard work one factor stands out above all-r the fighting Lee Generals! Each member of the team deserves credit, not only for his ability, but his good sportsmanship as well. We are very proud of them all. Three wonderful years are now coming to an end. As seniors. we cannot help realizing the fine foundation we have received al Robert E. Lee. We will not forget our teachers who have tried so hard to inspire us, and we hope that the future will be bright. MARGARET McCRANIE Senior Class Secretary
