llflllllllllllll ln no way can we who stay behind repay the debt we owe to those who take up arms and defend our homes, our families, our beliefs, and ideals. ln no way can we total the debt to those who laid down their lives so we might stand as tree men in a tree nation. Men of each generation since the founding of our nation have taken arms and battled for her cause. Some have tasted the wine of victory, some only the blood and steel, but each has gone torth from his home to give his all, ln this generation, too, men have answered the call of war, some from this very school. To those men and women we dedicate this I944 Blue and Gray, not as an installment on an unpayable debt, but as a simple thanks from all of us, and with a prayer for God's protection and a speedy, victorious return. SANDY BRYAN..
