Educotton Apples, chocolate covered cherries, mushy valentines and wilted wild flowers have rewarded school teachers for decades. Those things may still exist, but such tangibles are not the only benefits of a Christian teacher, asserts Dr. lim Bilbo, Dean of the Division of Education. He sees working with young people as a definite ministry. Q The Division of Education encompasses not only the elementary and secondary levels, but also health and physical education as well. Dr. Bilbo foresees expansion in the education division, including a Master's degree program, and the addition of classes which would enable a student to become certified in Special Education. On the Video An increasingly valuable asset to the Division of Education is the Media Center. Under the direction of Dr. Vernon Harmeson, the Media Center is available to both faculty and students, and assists them in utilizing a learning resource environment. jessie Newton, a full-time employee, and several student workers provide necessary assistance with films, overlays, teacher materials and video taping. Recently the Media Center obtained its own studio flocated on the second floor of the Humanities Buildingl, which is equipped with a color camera, sufficient lights and video taping equipment.
