Conn ' s third consecutive two-year term as chief executive of the school. Just as presidential activity was dominated by the successful efforts toward reaffirma- tion of accreditation last year, Dr. Conn ' s energies this year have focused predomi- nantly on a single area: the development of outside financial resources for the school. Throughout the year President Conn di- rected the Lee College Center Campaign, a fund-raising drive in the community which sought over 400,000 dollars for the building of Lee ' s proposed new auditorium. Additionally, President Conn has conceived and spearheaded a drive to build the school ' s endowment funds through direct gifts from individuals and state councils. With an apparent stabilizing of student en- rollment at the 1100 level, administrative leadership finally set after two years of changes, and the academic program safely through the reaffirmation process, President Conn continued in 1974-75 to provide strong leadership in areas of the school need- ing his hand. 68 69 Boojuh of UlnM m The Lee College Board of Directors is the bodv selected by the Church of God to make policy and provide top-level decision-making for the school. Viking Made R t tT apto f AlimnrnMl The Vikings, having easily dominated the S.C.A.C. since its conception, moved on to bigger and better things. This year ' s bid to the N.A.I. A. tournament was without doubt the biggest accomplishment yet for the Vi- kings. This year of great achievement was somewhat blemished by a one point upset loss to Covenant College in the S.C.A.C. Tourney. This loss marked the first time in S.C.A.C. ' s nine year history that Lee did not come away the winner. Bv beating Bryan the very next night, the Vikings were consoled bv qualify- ing for the N.A.I. A. It is a nickname that belongs to Theodore Sanford, the six foot seven inch center of the Vikings. Batting down shots has been Sanford ' s trade- mark and he has electrified crowds with this specialty during his four years in the Viking uniform. But that ' s not all he can do. Besides blocking 12 shots in one game, 121 in a sea- son, and 331 in his career, Sanford became the ninth all-time scorer with a 1,059 total. During his time on the squad, Sanford has helped to give the Vikings a 79-19 record. To top off his honors, T-Bone was named to the second squad of the N.C.C.A.A. Ail- American team this year. The VINDAGUA is a very devastating part of those memories, fany hours of hard work were put into this book so thai your memories could be recorded for you to look bad on now and in years to come. H am in debt to many people for their help in producing the 1975 VINDAGUA: To my sponsor Paul Conn who has been a friend not only this year but always. To President Charles W. Conn for allowing me to use his maxims taken from The Pointed Pen to tie the book ' s the together. To Dick Ford and his staff who workeoWmW lesslyto print all the pictures. To Charles McKinney who work d a lot of overtime so that the book could be prir ed. And most ot all to my beautiful wife without w the VINDAGUA would never have been finished. She worked hand in hand with me through approaching deadlines, all my studies, Parade of Favorites and gave me a beautiful daughter who makes all the bad times seem good. I am also in debt to you for allowing me to make your memories become a pleasant part of my memories. m ' a Editor I : --: -  . .«iirii • ; ' - .•.:« i . ■; £ f W ifem ?. ' , ; «• .
