Dedication The test of the ruling motto of a life is the man it forms. The philosophy held must make the man pure in heart, gracious and benevolent in manner, kind in word and deed. There is one who fits this description well because of his quiet and sincere dedication to his tasks. He has done much for those about him, for he has faith in Lee and her students. This is most evident in his kind and sym- pathetic interest in each individual and in his patient ef- forts to solicit financial aid for those in need. An alumnus of Lee, he has also served Lee devoted- ly for the past eleven years as Dean of Men, Principal of the High School, Dean of the Junior College, President of Lee College, and presently serves as Registrar. To one whose life is arrayed with serene beauty, and is beheld as a guiding star by all of us, we humbly and sincerely dedicate the 1961 Vindagua to the Reverend R. L. Piatt. B.A., George Peabody College for Teachers, Lee College. M.A., George Peabody College for Teachers. Graduate work, George Peabody College for Teachers, University of Tennessee.
