DEDICATION In memoriam to Veral Anthony who went to meet the Master June 3, 1956, after having completed one year at Lee College. The Vindagua staff takes pride in dedicating the 195 7 annual to one whose footsteps of faith are so deep- ly imprinted on our campus. Veral ' s brilliant testi- mony now shines even brighter as a guide to those who knew him. His cup of life was full. His testi- mony of complete trust in God keeps him alive in our hearts. He was — words fail to say what he was. Ask what he should be. That he was. Lee Bible College H x-vr% r n r-v Footsteps — symbols of the past of yl L W V- i L every man— whether echoing a life of simplicity and fading away or remaining freshly printed in the sands of time. Nineteen hundred years ago a sun-tanned Nazarene, the Son of a car- penter, walked the shores of Galilee leaving a perfect footprint with a clarity that, though made only with a soft step of a Judean sandal, will never fade. Those steps that reached out to challenge lives, heal sick, comfort broken hearts, have never been retrodden, for they were printd by the limitless love of God and continue to challenge us today to follow IN HIS STEPS. Yes, the King of Kings, Jesus our Saviour, came to the earth as a man leaving us an example that we might also leave a clear, firm footprint as we walk with Him through life. Lives of students are mingled here as they follow His footsteps by way of Lee College to pre- pare for life Gone — echoing joy, regrets, sorrow, and happiness, are your footsteps for this past year. How fresh are their prints? Have they come near be- ing IN HIS STEPS? In your hands you hold a misty written record of faces and names that recall moments — moments that are gone, moments that will remain foot- prints in time. You cannot reverse your course, or erase its prints, but if it has been faulty you may alter your pathway now by heeding the call of the Master to follow IN HIS STEPS! Terry Hathaway, Editor 1 am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, hut shall hare the light of life. ADMINISTRATION President R. LEONARD CARROLL, B.A., M.S. MISSIONS BOARD AT WORK The Missions Department is hard at work in its council room in Cleveland. The members of the board and staff are, left to right: D. A. Biggs, pastor at Middletown, Ohio; T. R. Morse, pastor at Lenoir City, Tennessee; J. H. Walker, Sr., overseer of Southeast Texas; Wade H. Horton, Field Representative; W. E. Johnson, Chairman of the Board and overseer of Georgia; Paul H. Walker, Foreign Missions Executive Secretary; T. L. Forester, pastor at West Flint, Michigan; S. E. Jennings, pastor at Huntington, West Virginia; A. M. Phillips, overseer of Florida; Johnnie Owens, Missions Representa- tive; Miss Alice Josephsen, Secretary. The Board members meet four times annually, gratuitously serving the Church and the fifty-six nations into which she has extended herself. For example, I should like to say that during the last General Assembly the Board sat for forty- seven hours in daily sessions and until one and two o ' clock in the morning, besides trying to attend the Assembly and General Council. Upon the shoulders of these men rests a tremendous responsibility for world missions. The prevalent concern in each of their hearts is to make the missions dollar reach the farthest and do the most in the shortest time possible. They earnestly covet your prayers. Their slogan is based on Romans 1:16, The whole Gospel for the whole man in the whole world. By Paul H. Walker- Executive Secretary STUDENTS FROM COLORADO the Grand Canyon State jfffl M. J. D.
