H Cor. 46 Directed by Mrs. Sherman The world is full of dreamers, but not like those who sat in the little room in the back of the Publishing House in 1918 and dreamed of a school, an un- usual school. They dared big things; they thirsted for that which was fine and hungered for that which was true. Today we see how their hunger, thirst and daringness have ripened into a growing institution, Lee College. We have caught the torch they threw to us. We keenly sense the cause of Lee College. It is this cause, the building of character for Christ, that prompts the various musical groups, mixed chorus, quartets, and other musical groups to visit various churches all over the United States. Not only do they carry the gospel in song but take with them promising young ministers to declare the gospel. ' ' Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled Matt. 5:6. SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS WEEK January 28 to February 4 was officially declared as Spiritual Emphasis Week on Lee College campus. The Reverend Ray Hughes, pastor of the North Chat- tanooga Church of God, was special speaker. Lee College students and faculty were spiritually lifted with outpourings of God ' s power in a measure unequaled since the great Holy Ghost revival of last year. Each morning Brother Hughes brought inspiring messages in the chapel services; some of the classes were turned into prayer sessions, and prayer services were held at night. As a result, twenty-five students were baptized with the Holy Ghost and many confessed Jesus as their personal Saviour. E. M. Tapley Ray Hughes And ye shall seek me, and find me, when Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, ye search for me with all your heart, having the same love, being of one accord, of Jeremiah 29:13. one mind, Philippians 2:2. President of Student Body Casts Vote u s H E R S Miss Burnett ' s Class Wins Honors Last year Lee College won eighth place in the Pri- vate International Shorthand-Writing Contest, in which more than 35,000 shorthand writers compete each year. The school received a banner for the mag- nificent performance of its students. JOHN HILLIS, CORNELIUS HARPER, WAYNE ROSSON, H. L. CHESSER, BILLY NUTTER A T H L E T I C S -4ifi£«ij « i.C. ORJU.
