Stewart Brinsfield, President Life in our country and in the world at large has become an experience involving incalculable possibilities of success or failure, happiness or sorrow, triumph or defeat. There is no way for one to escape the tremendous responsibilities involved in our complex affairs. Life poses problems to which answers must be given, de- cisions must be made, and most important of all, services for the betterment of mankind must be rendered. The experiences of the past prove that good leadership is in- dispensable to good government. Qualified leadership is important in the home, the church, the educational system, and in political and economic affairs as well. It is not a matter of who is right. It is rather a matter of what is right. The peoples of the world must be brought face to face with facts and principles involved in every situation. There are too many men of policy. God give us leaders with principles, strong convictions, and moral strength — men and women of Christian character and resolution under God. Lee College is training leaders. Has God called you? If so, Lee College offers an opportunity for academic learning, with spirit- ual understanding to strengthen the pleasures of college life with Christian fellowship. J. The Association is a young, yet a growing organization. It extends to many parts of the globe. Alumni members serve as foreign mis- sionaries, pastors, evangelists, and active laymen, as well as school administrative officers, teachers, prominent businessmen, and secretaries. The ALUMNI NEWS is a section of the school publication, which is published monthly and sent to the members. Other ities are sports, and he is a mem- ' the Missionary Club. ts and reading are two of the . ., m which Mr. Rodgers likes to re- lax from a day of hard studying. Mr. Rodgers has his family with him while here attending school. After graduation in May he plans to resume pastoral work in Alabama. FREEDOM OF RELIGION These United States are widely known for their policy of freedom of worship as the individual so desires. Lee College also offers that right to all who are enrolled. And yet — even though freedom of worship is preached, is it practiced? How do you worship? T he usual answer is, Through prayer, singing, praise services and the hearing of the! Word. Well, then, is there freedom of worship when the Scripture readir ' is drowned out by a recounting yesterday ' s escapades by those in row behind you? When the sacred of prayer, individual or concert, i terrupted by giggles and whispers from the couple in front, or the entrance of late comers, is that freedom of wor- ship? Can an individual really, hear and enjoy the message of the occasion when those around are speculating about Johnny and Mary ' s romance, or contending whether Carnation or Pet milk is best for babies? A GREAT REVIVAL Psalm 85 gives a beautiful account of real yearning for a national revival. In fact, it would be exceedingly difficult for us to find words from the pen of a contem- porary writer which would more adequately express the soul desire for a revival in the hearts of thousands of Christians in our day. In February, the faculty and students of Lee College were visited by a gracious outpouring of the Spirit. God moved so mightily upon us until practically all problems were solved. As waves of spiritual power swept over the audience, hundreds were healed as they sat in their seats in the auditorium. So great was the move of the Spirit that students were healed in their dormitory rooms, just as God graciously met with us in the chapel auditorium. God was never more real. The results of this mighty revival will be told as long as our memory lasts. Its effects can never die. SWEEPS LEE! Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost; ' Acts 2:3 8. At the close of the revival, thirty were baptized in water by our President, Brother Brinsfield, assisted by Brother George Brazell. o o v v X ' 6 v V SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFICERS Superintendent . . GEO.
