God said, Let there be light. — Genesis 1:1a, 3 a. God has always desired the world to be a place of light and brightness. John says, God is light and in him is no darkness at all. Not only physical light, but mental and spiritual light come from God. That darkness should envelop man was not God ' s plan, but through Sa- tan ' s trickery it did. However, God made a remedy for that. He sent His Son to be the True Light and Christ left us with the admonition, Ye are the light of the world. We, the students of B.T.S., are endeavoring to be true representatives of the glorious gospel of Christ, to let our light shine unto the uttermost part of the world. We are striving to make our motto not Send the Light but Take the Light. THE RADIO CHOIR MY HIGH RESOLVE OUR LIVES I dedicate my life to redeeming deserts in- to rose gardens. I shall take time to feel the tragedy of emptiness in the lives of people I meet. I shall seek by all means to bring show- ers of refreshing to fall upon sands of truth and kindness. I shall seek to turn deserts into rose gardens. The unawakened are everywhere. They are asleep to their possibilities. Equipped for lives of service and a great destiny, they wander aimlessly on. Hedged in by the stone wall of their own frailties and faults, they see not the world of opportunity that reaches beyond the stars. It shall be my high resolve to awaken and inspire. It shall be my aim to lift them up to where they shall see the great world of beauty, love and inspiration. Desert minds and barren hearts shall be made to rejoice and blossom as the rose. I shall bide my time; though it may take years of effort and sacrifice, I am resolved to see every desert within my reach and influence becom e waving fields of grain, gardens of flowers, and landscapes of rich vintage. wmm W ?iiT NV Aammwn I OUR TALENTS -Heart Throbs of Truth.
