THE CRESCENT 2 AGRICULTURE The Mount Jefferson Chapter of Future Farmers elected the followmg oihcers for the year 1941 42 Presldent Chfford Worcester V1ce Presldent Harold Kneeland Secretary Herbert Joy Treasurer Ralph Collin Reporter George Kellogg Farm Watch Dog Ernest Lowell The Chapter held three all day meetlngs ln the F F A room 1n the Nat1ona1 Defense Shop At the first meet1ng ln addltlon to takmg up the necessary buslness the boys appomt ed comm1ttees for the 1n1t1at1on of freshmen to be taken 1nto the chapter as Green Hands At thc second meetmg upper class men 1n1t1ated as Green Hands were Emery McLaughl1n Harold Bowker Roger McLellan and Don Bradbury The ma1n d1scuss1on of the meetlng centered around gettmg furnlture and flxtures to make the F F A room more comfortable and enjoyable for future members At the thlrd meeting the weterans put the freshmen through the1r paces at the 1n1t1at1on held 1n the gym dur the soclal hour of the meetlng The freshmen seemed to enjoy It as much as the others Cllfton Plckerlng Ray Sutherland Merle Slbley Rlchard Il vonen Groxer Young Robert Coburn and sophomore Raymond Seserance were admltted to the assoclatlon 'lhe annual Father and Son Ban quet was planned for the first part of May Th1s yeal s membershlp IS greater than last and we hope that the chap ter wlll keep on growlng and that mam more boys w1ll become mterest ed 1n agrlculture and the Future Farmers 1 v 9 L - l n . . ., .
