Workin' for the Weekend We sit on the edge of our seats impatiently awaiting the 3:07 bell on that almost endless Friday afternoon. Everyone anticipates the joyful sound and, at the same time, is hoping that this weekend will be the best they have ever had. Plans seem unlimited, whether one goes to the game or lucks up and gets M ggttp, g.,t ,itty ' the date of his or her dreams. Almost everyone would agree that the best thing about the weekend is getting up at 10:00 on Saturday morning, but then who gets to sleep late? There is always something to do such as the various jobs, SAT, ball practice or maybe just cleaning up the houseg but no matter what one does 'Workin' for the Weekend really does pay off. Then there are always the excited tones of a chattering female saying, He talked to me, I think l'm in l ve. Turning the corner, one finds the smug, sly grin of a guy who has just found a date for the weekend. No matter where one looks, high school is filled with dating that special person, or just going off with friends to have a good time. Whatever the occasion, there is always l ve and happiness. As the year comes to a close, everyone, especially the seniors, realize what good friends they have and the l ve that is shared. We can not recall all the good times without a smile.
