Back row - Sandy Scarborough, fvice presidenti, Stephanie Darr Qrecording secretaiyi. The Future Secretaries of America had a large turn- out in members this year. Their first activity was the PSI fProfessional Secretaries lnternationali Convention at the Top of the Mart in High Point. They had dinner there and various speakers spoke on subjects of inter- est to the secretaries. At Thanksgiving, the club gave canned goods to the Crisis Control Center. A fruit basket was presented to Mrs. Rickard, school secretary, for her dedicated ser- vice. - h x During Christmas, a party was held at Sandy Scar- s' borough's house where everyone exchanged gifts. t saga- .g5f.tz...b . - K Q. fi-W-rags? f5 Also during Christmas, the girls received a huge cake f and floating heart charms for everyone from the . S Chapter of PSI. The club sold candy in january to raise money for their projects. ln March the members and their spon- sor, Mrs. Frisbee, attended the state convention in Raleigh. FSA I49

Les jeunes Amis cle la France The French Club opened its year with the initiation of new members. New members were required to dress as various characters such as the jolly Green Giant and the Square Pegs. The club has seen an increase in membership this year over their past en- rollments. In November, members sold oranges to raise money for club projects. Among the projects held were a tree trimming party in December for club members and faculty. ln january, members and guest dined on French food and enjoyed entertainment in a cozy French atmosphere at the Eve of Epiphany ban- quet. The French club is most ably led by Mrs. Brassfield.
