Chorus ll ln the spring of 1982, 48 peo- ple were chosen to make up the Advanced Chorus for 1983. Their first performance was at the Beta Club induction. Later on in the fall the chorus members travelled to Hasty, Wallburg, and Ledford lu- nior High to perform. During Christmas they sang at two con- certs at the Senior High and at many churches. ln early spring the Chorus sang at the Lexington Rotary Club. three spring concerts, and the Davidson County Music festival. During the spring they also went to a choral competition in Char- lotte. At the end of the year, Mr. Simpson awarded their hard work by taking them to the Barn Dinner Theater and Carowinds. Chorus I Chorus l has tvventy-seven female members, all hard-working and dedicated. Although they did not compete, they performed in several concerts during the year which included two Christmas concerts and three spring concerts. They per- formed in the fall at Hasty, Wallburg, and Ledford lunior High, and at the Davidson County Music Festival in May. ln the spring, they traveled to Charlotte to observe other choral groups in competition. They are greeted by the cheerful faces of members of the Bus Driver's Club, who are waiting pa- tiently to take them home. Each driver is re- sponsible for transporting approximately for- ty students to and from school each day, a job which takes maturity and dedication. The club attended a Defensive Driver Course in Thomasville on December 9. They also ordered jackets with the bus driver's emblem on them. At Christmas the club held a party at one of the members house.
