Future Farmers of America This year the Future Farmers ofAmerica have been a very active and exciting club. ln December they attended a Tool Identification and Creed contest at Davidson County Community College and won first place. Later in the same month, they won a Livestock ludging Contest at the Federa- tion level, with the Dairy ludging Team finishing third. Next, they participated in the District Leadership Workshop in Denton, N.C. Melinda Lamb, president of the club, was also elected the Federation president. The Federation con- sists of Ledford, Denton, North Davidson, Central Davidson and West Davidson high schools. This honor gave her the opportunity to attend the National Con- vention in Kansas City, along with Duane Leonard and Nlr, Cline. The club worked hard during the entire year selling oranges and working in their greenhouse to raise money to pay for the members to attend the FFA Banquet in the spring.
