Student Government This year the Student Government, led by presi- dent, leanie Myers, and with the unlimited help of sponsors, Mr. Larry McAIpine and Nlr. Logan Harris, was very successful. One of their major goals was to get the students and teachers involved in more school activities. They sponsored the Homecoming and Christmas dances, both of which had a great deal of student participation. They organized the magazine sale in which the student body sold over three thousand dollars worth of magazines and albums. This money was contributed to help the school. The officers attended a county-wide Student Coun- cil meeting at West Davidson and a second meeting at the County Administrative Offices. During American Education Week, the officers and sponsors cooked breakfast for the teachers and distri- buted suckers to the student body. One of the final activities of the year was the blood drive held in the spring. This event gave students the opportunity to help others.
