'This past season ww very grat- ifying because of the enthusiasm and hard work shown by our team. The senior class did a very good job in leadership in our win- ning season and laid the ground work for championship teams in the future. fCoach Earl Smithj The Panther's began their sea- son with a week-long football camp in August and continued into non-conference play with only one loss which was to North Davidson. They began their conference season with two victories, first to Denton, then a Homecoming win against S.W. Randolph. After los- ing against West Davidson, the Panther team bounced back with two big wins against East and Central Davidson. The team finished the season with two los- ses, one each to Randleman and S.W. Guilford. The Panther's showed good effort and alot of hard work was put forth this season. The overall record was 6-4, with a confer- ence record of 4-3. At the fall Ath- letic Banquet, Steve Williams re- ceived the Golden Helmet Award. Varsity Football Left: Steve Kinley breaks through the Alleghany defense.
