Zedcaffon All too true was the message received on Saturday, July 7, 1956 that Lieutenant Samuel W. Wilson was missing on a training flight from his base in Hawaii. Subsequent messages verified that Sammie had been killed in a crash of his plane on Friday, July 6, on a mountainside just a few miles from his base. It is not our intent no attempt to eulogize Sammie here for his life was its own eulogy. lt is our purpose to besnow honor where honor is due. Sadly, but with firm resolve, we dedicate the 1957 edition of The becomte to the memory of Sammie wilson, and con- secrate ourselves to carry on the ideals of love for om fellowman and devotion to duty which so typified him.
