P rap h ecy LEBO ENTERPRISE, June l, 1988K Last evening our city was privileged to host a distinguished group. These were members of the Lebo High School graduat ing class of 1968, observing their twentieth reunion. Several members of the group have become prominent leaders in our state and nation. We will now review, for our readers, what each member of the class is currently engaged in. Unfortunately, Darla Benton was unable to be with us last night because she had been detained in Iowa some- where around Mitchellville or Des Moines. Carolyn Barnett is now driving a truck for the Lebo Grain Company to help support her husband, Gary. The classis star stunt driver, Gail Allan, has just been promoted to head mechanic for the Don Miller Motors. Her specialty is f'56i' Fords. Ron Schemm, one of the nation's leading swine specialists, has recently been elected to the Agricultural Hall of Fame, which is located in Missouri. Joann Slead, whose desire was to graduate from Kansas State, has finally achieved that goal. She has received her degree in janitorial science. Ann Allegre, the class brain, graduated from KU and is now a well-established pharmacist in the booming me- tropolis of Arvonia. , Mike Croucher, whose voice became his fortune, has turned another golden record with the release of his new hit, I Canit Live Without LOVE. Clair Niles and Jim Hunter gained national publicity when it was revealed they had talked to some little green men from outer space. Niles was quoted as saying, 'fit was a real gone experience? ' Our reporter learned that Philip Williams is now designing red barns for the local ucattle baron. News flash over the teletype! World famous racing driver, Doug Thorne, who honored us with his presence last night, has just won the Grand Prix in his yellow 58'i Ford. He left right after the festivities last night in his pri- vate jeut plane. Denny Rosine is now conducting his own television show, THE SPORTSMAN7S FRIEND, in the place of Har- old Ensley. Barbara Booth has now been the national advisor for all senior high school Student Councils for five years. She is known for her emphasis of the effectiveness of Stuco. Karen Huddleston is one of the few who stayed in Lebo. She currently owns a restaurant on the new Interstate Highway. She has been doing very well in her business venture ever since she eliminated all local competition. After graduating from Kansas School of Business, Glenda Rae Combes has become the private secretary of Ken- ny Carlton who operates a Ford assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan, where the lemons come from. Steve Morgan became a glass blower to aid unfortunate victims of '4frozen window panes'??? Lebo can now boast about a beauty contest winner. The former Margaret Linsey has been elected HMrs. Volks- wagen of American to promote Volkswagen's image as a family car. How sad! Pam Schemm can still be seen riding around the streets of Lebo in a yellow Chevy Super Sport. Her dream is finally going to come true. Janet Miller is still attending Kansas State, and in a few months will succeed in getting her HMRS. degree. Chuck Benedict has become a world famous tycoon with a nation-wide chain of hardware stores and lumber i yards which originated in Lebo. Marilyn Kimball, long time member of the Lonely Hearts Club, has just terminated her membership by her en- gagement to YOU KNOW WHO. Steve Kellum has put his great talent, which he learned in the kitchen of LHS, to work. He is washing dishes at Karen Huddlestonis local restaurant. Kenton Jones had a great deal of difficulty getting here tonight. Girls just seem to flock around him since he has been elected uPlayboy King of the World. Oh, the Senior Class of l968 went down to Mr. Jerry Teichgraeber's house after their reunion to help him lay bricks. He is still attempting to finish his Nnewi' house.

Class Histor On August 26, 1964, twenty-seven frightened, anxious freshmen entered Lebo High School- the halls of higher edu- cation? The officers elected for the year were Ann Allegre, presidentgPam Schemm, vice-president, Lupe Mendoza, sec- retary, Barbara Booth, treasurer. Mr. Jerry Teichgraeber was chosen as class sponsor. During the year several members left the class including Connie Robinson, Terry Sullivan, Terry Jean Fleming, Sheryl and Willa Gunterman. Janet Miller was a new member of the class. The sophomore class of twenty-four students participated in Lebo High more fully. Class officers for this swinging group were Kenton Jones, president, Janet Miller, vice-president, Pam Schemm, secretaryg Clair Niles, treasurer, and our faithful and loyal sponsor Mr. Jerry Teichgraeber. Near the end of this year we selected our class rings. At the beginning of our hilarious junior year, we had two main goals in mind-the Junior-Senior Prom and our future senior trip. ln November we presented the comedy The Adorable Impn. There were several other money-making pro- jects during the year to boost our finances. On April 29, 1967 the seniors were guests at the J unior-Senior Prom, at which the theme f'Sayonara was used. The officers who lead this' class in undertaking these tasks were president James Hunter, vice-president Dennis Rosine, secretary Darla Benton, treasurer Ann Allegreg student council representative Philip Williams. Mr. Teichgraeber and Mrs. Edwards served as sponsors. The class was happy to have Marilyn Kimball join them in September. Steve Kellum joined our group at the beginning of the senior year. Lupe Mendoza did not return to Lebo High School. Twenty-four students began the last year by bringing the senior carnival to the community. Besides the carnival we earned money by selling fireworks in July, having adoughnut sale, magazine sales, concessions at ballgames through- out the year, the senior play, The Curious Savage , which was presented in November, a Faculty-Alumni basketball game, and Senior Talent Program. We also served the dinner for the F FA Banquet, Those who have attended Lebo Public School all twelve years were Gail Allan, Ann Allegre, Carolyn Barnett, Chuck Benedict, Darla Benton, Barbara Booth, Kenny Carlton, Glenda Rae Combes, Michael Croucher, Karen Huddleston, James Hunter, Kenton Jones, Steve Kellum, Margaret Linsey, Clair Niles, Dennis Rosine, Joann Slead, Doug Thorn, Phil ip Williams. Twenty-four nervous seniors marched into the gymnasium for the last time May 20, 1968, graduation night. The best was still ahead! At midnight May 20, wide-eyed, eager seniors left Lebo on their senior trip shouting California here we conef' THANK YOU We, the Senior Class of '68, wish to thank the community for the support and encouragement given us during our high school years. Especially do we appreciate the support of the community in making our never-to-be-forgotten se- nior trip a possibility and a pleasure. A special thanks to our parents for their sacrifices and guidance of these growing- up years. Also, we thank the faculty and school board for giving us encouragement and opportunities for an education.
