r Junior Miss November 4, proved to be a magic night for many in Lebanon as the An- nual Junior Miss Pageant was presen- ted at the Lebanon Middle School Gym. Eleven girls competed for the coveted honor including Kim Canaga, Kathy Carner, Chris Collier, Kerrie Cox, Deb- bie Crick, Laurie Evans, Bonnie Jarstad, Katie Mangan. Mandy McCloud, Shelly Ransford and Cherry Whited. Girls were judged on poise and ap- pearance, judges interview, talent and creativity and physical fitness and coordination. Last year's Junior Miss, Debbie Nichols, was on hand and had the honor of crowning the 1978-79 winner. Cherry Whited. The “Spirit of Junior Miss” award, voted by all of the candidates was presented to Laurie Evans. Runners-up for the contest, who also received scholarship prizes, were Laurie Evans 2nd Runner-up and Kathy Carner 1st Runner-up. Mike Anthony of KGAL was master of ceremonies for the pageant which was sponsored by area businesses. Bonnie Jarstad browses through a pattern book looking for the latest styles.
