Student Body Officers Fellow Students; Along with this new decade comes a new role for the student. Young people are now being given the opportunity for new responsibilities which they are accepting with enthusiasm. We feel that the students at LUHS are not only included in this movement, but its real leaders. As we, the officers, attended Legion VI and other meetings, visiting and talking to officers from other schools, we found our school to be in the upper ten per cent. Our students are becoming aware of the fact that the students make the school. With this increasing awareness, we feel that Lebanon Union High students will strive harder and harder every year to achieve the ideals their school stands for. Because of this effort toward achievement, LUHS will produce leaders in our community, county, and state levels. As I look upon my experiences this year, I would like to thank my officers for the tremendous job they have done. They have not only done capable work, but have set an example that would make any school proud. And, finally, to you, the students of LUHS, a special thanks for being the support you were this year, a support that I will remember with pride and dignity. A. S. B. President 12

A.F.S. To all my friends at L. U. H. S., My year’s stay in Lebanon has been an enrich- ing one. Not only have I come to understand Americans but have also learned to appreciate them. I have broadened my life with new exper- iences and cleared all misconceptions, I only wish that you could come to Singapore and see what life is like there. You are quite right to think that life goes on very much the same way and we do have our problems too! After all, we do live on this universal planet - Earth.
