b-X g-K' 1 L I7 fs Gilman igwtnrg 2112128 In September 1942 we entered Lebanon Junctlon Hxgh School as a very verdant class of freshmen a bxt shy and much awed by our teachers and the upper classmen Today from our elevated posltlon as hxgh school semors we look back wlth a smlle and follow our class hxstory from that eventful day to the present tlme whlch IS even more sxgmfncant to us As we start our toxlsome Journey up Knowledge H1Ll there were an even iwo dozen of us We had Mr DeMumbrum M1ss Stone Mrs John L Thompson and Mxss Beeler to help us off to a good start We came to the end of our fxrst year wlthout losmg any of our number Then came the second lap of our Journey-our Sophomore year We had lost some of our shy freshman ways and had gaxned some sophomore sophxstxca txon We had many new experlences and several new teachers We came to the end of our second year wxth a feehng of trlumph that our Journey was now half done Then came our Jumor year wxth geometry and other dlffxcult subjects MISS Buck our home room teacher Jomed us ln our laughter and tears and helped us present our play Ready Made Famxly whlch we shall long remember Durmg the summer we proudly gave up three of our boys who were called xnto the armed forces-Keith Plke Paul Huffman and Eugene Meadows At la t we come to our Semor year the buslest and most xmportant of a1L We lost June Shane when she gave up her hxgh school career to become Mrs Stark Our Class Offxcers were Frank Booth Presldent Elsxe Lamb Vxce Presl dent Helen Wmse Secretary Alda Faye Thompson Treasurer Wlth the help of the Jumor boys our play Lena Rxvers was qulte a success We also spent long vxeary hours planmng our school year book Lookmg wxstfully back over the past four years we have a feelmg of re gret for the t1mes that can never come agam But our goal has been reached and we are grateful to our parents teachers and frlends who have helped us toward that goal Somewhere out there ln the future IS a place for each of us where we may l1ve as loyal truthful mdxvxduals and strxve for other goals Just ahead any-AA4g4rAAA4A,'f 9 v 4 Q v Q' ff, ' H ffl- ,113 f'7 fQ',, eff U.
