Junior Class History Une day in Scptemher l924, we entered L. H. S. as the class of '28 everyone of us eager for a high school education and all the student activities incident to it. After counting the casualities in passing through the Freshman and Sophomore years l find that our ranks have heen depleted in numher from ol to 331 hut we have in us in a greater degree, those aspirations to add as much honor to the Maroon and Wliite as we possihly can. During the past year we have estahlished an cnviahle record in student activities, especially athletics. We have contributed more people to this than any other class in the school. Six of our hoys, including the captain, have gone in for foothall and four have helped carry our team through a very successful season in haskethall. The girls have heen equally enthusiastic, six of them taking part in haskethall with one of them as captain. Along other lines we have heen equally successful. We have some talented people in our class which have often hcen called upon to furnish entertainmentfffive elocuf tionists, two violinists, and seven pianists. A goodly portion of the Pulwlic Speaking Class is composed of juniors. Iwiany took part in the School Uperetta, Miss Cherry' hlossoinf' As you have prohahly seen, we have tried to do our hest in all our work in order to help uphold the reputation of L. H. S. as the hest school in the county. In another year we will he in the place of the Seniors, and we trust we can improve and so add still greater honor to the Nlaroon and Wliite.
