Smiling helped Natalie Ratliff (soph.) ease the tension. Star light, star bright Judges rate beauties Whispers ceased; stom- achs churned. Kon Jones (M. C.) welcomed parents and guests. Curtains parted to reveal contestants who wished to be chosen as the most beautiful. Three judges deliberated and eliminated. Twenty-five young ladies participated in the pageant, which was sponsored by Contestants, by secret ballot, al- ways honor a young lady for her friendliness and assistance as Miss Congeniality.
