TRIBUTE TO THE ALMA MATER The first school in Lebanon, the Male Acade- my, was established in 1850. In 1851, an allied Female Academy was organized. In 1893, the Female Academy became Russell College until 1909, when it was converted into an agricultural high school. The name was later changed to Lebanon High School. Lebanon High School has met the education- | al needs of Russell County for over 130 years. | The rich tradition and history of the ‘‘old’’ school | will remain even after the move to the new high school in the fall of ’85. “Don't fence me in!’ John Pruner, senior, valiantly tries to master the intricacies of chicken wire.
