Report cards are always inevitable - but Mrs. Whittington’s homeroom doesn’t look too worried! Repeating the Pledge of Allegiance daily in homeroom was a practice initiated by the S.C.A. Council this year. Butch Stoots, Darrell Altizer, and Eddie Mamoran were re- sponsible for raising the flags each morning. These future secretaries made quite an “impression” during F.B.L.A. initiation in November. The Business Club was newly organized this year. 1 7

Nora Johnson, Betty Holmes, Joan Cox, Becky Simmons, Jerry Taylor, and Gene Monk attended All-Regional Chorus in Wise. This is a prime example of faculty participation in stu- dent activities! Lebanon High was host school for the S.C.A. District Conference, directed by the District Officers, Barbara Jones, Secretary; Mike Gilmer, Vice-Chairman; and Gary Burns, Chairman. The state theme, “Reach Out” was effectively carried out in this meeting. 16

The Science Club sponsored its annual Book Fair in November with much success. I realized that recognition for my accomplishments Kathy lessee was recipient of the Betty Crocker Home- maker Award for this year. The award is given annually to a senior girl. Winners of the Miss Senior Contest were: Dave Reid, first- runner-up; Tim Wilson, Miss Senior; Jeff Sword, second-run- ner-up. The play, “Longing for Christmas” was presented by the Drama Club for the student body.
