As the days passed by, new doors were opened, Our Year was one of reaching out through clubs and their activities. It was a year of experience in living and cooperating with others, a year of awards and honors, or representation and service, and of reaching out to know ourselves. Let us recall this phase of Our Year . . . Members of the Y-Clubs presented devotions during National Y-Week in November. Sandy Norris and Francine Easterly were chosen L.H.S. reporters for the Lebanon News. Crowds and excitement helped to make Our Year a Mr. Rasnake’s homeroom won first place in the Spirit Bulletin Board Contest, sponsored by the cheerleaders during Homecoming Week. 14

Nora Johnson, Betty Holmes, Joan Cox, Becky Simmons, Jerry Taylor, and Gene Monk attended All-Regional Chorus in Wise. This is a prime example of faculty participation in stu- dent activities! Lebanon High was host school for the S.C.A. District Conference, directed by the District Officers, Barbara Jones, Secretary; Mike Gilmer, Vice-Chairman; and Gary Burns, Chairman. The state theme, “Reach Out” was effectively carried out in this meeting. 16
