939 e u The Senior class of 1959 entered school in September as students who had almost reached the last rung of the ladder leading up to high school graduation. Thankful for this and with a prayer to God in each of our hearts for guidance, a resolution was made to strive to hold fast to the school motto, Forward, Always Forward. Events of the past year such as the Senior play. Homecoming, sports events, trips and even classes have instilled in the heart of each Senior memories which will be cherished forever. The class chose the white carnation as their flower. Black and white represented the class colors. The inspiring motto chosen by the class read; May honor, strength, and wisdom pace us mile by mile. In leaving L. H. S., the class wishes to thank all the teachers who so freely offered guidance in classes and extracurricular activities. Deep- est appreciations and many fond farewells are bid to the Senior class sponsors, Mrs. James Gilmer and Mrs. Eugene Vicars who so ably guided the footsteps of each Senior this year.
