. . . H(Jo Our school life is truly dear to our hearts! So well we remember that sunny September Day when we started another year, the last one for some of us. We were anxious to renew old friendships and to get started in our school work again. We were very excited this month because we won our first football game in three years, then we won another and another. October flew by and so did November and soon our basketball teams were out on the court again for another season. Both teams were victorious. It seems like all we r e m e b e r about the winter months was snow, snow, and more snow. We were snowed out of school for a whole week; it has been said that it was the coldest winter in thirty years. About the end of March everything started happening at once --we won the two trophies in the county forensic contest, the senior play was cast and practice began, car loads of delegates went to different conventions all over the State, May Day plans were in the making, and we were all anticipating our Junior -Senior Banquet and Prom. Everything happened so fast that gr a du at ion exercises were soon here. As the seniors bade farewell to the school on June 3rd they were sure that the Juniors would take their place and continue making L. H. S. dear to everyone’s heart.
