Four years ago we entered Lebanon High School as freshmen. We felt frightened and uncertain, yet we were growing up and no longer children. As the year passed we became better acquainted with our classmates and teachers and began to enjoy our new year of school. In our sophomore year, we were eligible to join the various clubs of our school. We began thinking what we would do after graduation and chose our subjects so that our courses might help us in preparing for work after we completed high school. The highlights of our junior year were the Junjor-Senior Party and the arrival of our rings. These rings made us more conscious of our duty for soon we were to become dignified seniors with much more responsibility. As seniors we took our studies more seriously, as we looked for- ward to graduation and college. We also awaited the day when we would measure for our c aps and gowns since that meant that school was closing. The inspiration we received from our commencement speaker gave us courage to go out as better citizens. President DOROTHY FANIS 23

To The Classes It is hard to believe that those sophisticated seniors were once wide-eyed, bewildered freshmen. The seniors preparing to assume leadership in the future awaiting them, the juniors almost to the place where they put on their robes of seniority, the sopho- mores with much accomplished and so much yet to do, and the freshmen, eager and hopeful, optimistic of what lies ahead. Every year each class moves forward; the jun- iors to the ruling class, the sophomores to the class in which they see that long awaited year isn ' t far off. The freshmen, gay and excited, move on to the sophomore year where they are undecided as to their importance. Finally the seniors, saying farewell to these underclassmen, with never a backward glance as they enter the gates of Memory Lane. 22
