SUPERINTENDENT Mr. George H. Givens came to Russell County on September 1, 1923 as Principal of Cleveland High School, and remained in this posi- tion for five years. He then be- came Superintendent of Schools of Russell County, on September 1, 1928 and our schools have made great progress under his leadership. He received his A.B. degree from Lynchburg College and his M.A. degree from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville, Virginia. Mr. G. H.
