Merl Hunt and Iack Hodges are obtaimng a small part of the benefit which may be galned by many, many other students who w1ll follow them ln the use of the Ernest R Breech Library wh1ch was recently ded1cated ln the Industnal Arts Department On a natlonally televised program, Th1s Is Your Life an alumnus of Lebanon Hxgh School was honored for hrs success 1n business w1th a portrayal of h1s insprra t1onal l1fe from chlldhood The beglnning was this town of Lebanon and our own Lebanon school from whlch he graduated as salutatorian of the class of 1914 Dunng the years s1nce his graduatlon Mr Ernest R Breech has advanced to the pos1t1on of Chairman of the Board of D1rectors of the Ford Motor Company Prevlously he had served as the Presldent of the Bendlx Av1at1on Corporat1on V1ce Presldent of the North American Av1at1on Corporat1on, where he headed the operat1on of Trans Contmental Airllnes Western Alrlines Eastern A1rl1nes and Western A1r Express Attalmng h1s present pos1t1on IS not ev1dence of hrs lack of talent or unwllllngness to work hard Durmg hrs appearance on thls telev1s1on show Mr Breech pald high trxbute to Lebanon and to our school by saylng that he knew of no better town 1n wh1ch to grow up than Lebanon nor of no better school from Wh1Ch to graduate than Lebanon Hlgh School He spoke of Lebanon as my town and my school To further honor th1S great man who has graclously consented to be our commence ment speaker durlng the dedlcatlon of our new fleldhouse thls May, the xndustrlal arts workshop has been renamed the Ernest R Breech Industrlal Sclence Bu1ld1ng Th1s bu1ld1ng w1ll serve as a last1ng trlbute to a hometown Lebanon graduate who has made an outstandlng success 1n l1fe Mara Ion Whrllhit , . - - n - ll I . a , n n s I - 1 I ' . , 1 - u n a - . e .
