This demonstration 'Q 5 includes the grades, junior high and senior high school. 5 Q The grade pupils give demonstrations of simple folk dances, Q singing games, and contest games. The high school physical 5 education classes give Indian club, wand, and barbell drills as Q well as folk dances and patriotic drills. Ei This program is usually given about the second week of 3 April, and is held on two different nights with an entirely dif- .6 Q ferent group of pupils performing each night. In each program Q numbers are given by pupils ranging from the first grade through Q 5' the high school. ' , The purpose in giving such a demonstration is two-fold. H gf It is the desire of the school to give the general public an idea 5 of the physical education program that is being carried on in 53 our school each day, as well as to give the pupils an opportunity Q to appear before an audience in a program. 3 5 A general admission of ten cents is charged. This money Q Q defrays the expenses of the demonstration, and helps to buy 5 E' new equipment for the physical education department.
