Drarhatics Ordinary dramatic students became stars after the January productions of Where the Cross is Madei' and The Trysting Place directed by Mrs. Jane Ward. Many of the actual workers go unrecognized by the audience because they are backstage, but wherever they are or whatever they are doing, it all adds up to a good year for the Dramatics Department. Central Indiana Oratorical Winners L. H. S. entrants in the Central Indiana Oratori- cal Contest were Charlene Kintaid, who won first place in the gir1's division, and David Richey, who entered the boy's division. Other contesting schools were Crawfordsville, Jefferson of Lafayette, West Lafayette, Delphi, and Frankfort, Where this year's contest was held. 1950 Cedars Page Seventeen
