May Fest Activities Prior to the May Fest celebration, four grade school Cub and Brownie scouts performed the cus- tamary flag raising cere- many used before all school activities. The scouts were Helen Byroad, David Neu- man, James Shirk, and Mel- ba Caldwell. All grades from the Hrst through the sixth from every city grade school took part in the celebration. Here one of the grades turns a nursery rhyme into a dance. Older grade school stu- dents performed calisthen- ics and gymnastics learned in Physical Education classes. Some Junior High and Senior High Physical Education classes also dem- onstrated their abilities in tumbling, wrestling, volley- ball, and basketball. Page Fourteen 1950 Cedars

' COLLEGE DAY College Day was established two years ago in Lebanon High School to aid the upper- classmen in choosing a college or university for further training. It also gives an opportunity to those who have already picked a college to attend to be informed more fully on the cost, requirements, courses offered, activities, and living accommodations of that particular insti- tution. Representatives from every Indiana college for whizh interest is shown by LHS juniors and seniors come to Lebanon for this program. Individual college groups are formed and in an informal, friendly discussion our students get a fine understanding about the college of their choice. 1950 Cedars P 1199 Thiffeen
