Prom Octette Umbrellas, flowers, pastel colors and green grass set the scene for the 1949 J unior-Senior Prom held on April 22 at the Lebanon Armory. Rain on the outside did not dampen the spirits of those attending the well-named April Showers Prom. Using April Showers for their theme song these nine Juniors entertained with a number of songs and illustrative skits pertaining to rain, silver linings, rainbows and rivers. From left to right they are: Jack Trowbridge, Frank Barrett, Helen Ruth Isenhour, Mary Frances McKenzie, Charlotte Korteling, Marcia Miller, Richard Nichols, David Richey, and the Master of Ceremonies, Robert Shanks. A tribute to the graduating seniors from the Class of '50 closed the program for the 1949 Prom. The tribute follows: Dear Seniors: This will be our last big event with you. In a few weeks you will be alumni. But before you have to go into the world to seek your fortunes and careers, let Johnny Junior tell you he'll miss you. We will have to be good next year to be as good as you. We will miss you in the halls, we will miss you in the gym, we will miss you at next year's prom. But knowing that all good things must come to an end, we of the class of 1950 send you into the world wishing you good luckf, and if April Showers ever do come your way we hope you find the Blue Bird. Signed: THE JUNIOR CLASS. 1950 Cedars Page Seven

Senior Dinner Party Marked up as strictly a Senior Class celebration was the A'Green Yearsl' dinner party Cpictured at the leftj held at the Methodist Church on October 21. The usual Candelabrum Ceremony was conducted besides speeches, a boys' singing group, a cornet solo, a girls, octet and group singing. This engraved an important page on our book of high sehool memories. Vespers Service One of our most beautiful and impressive convocations is the annual Vespers Service held prior to Thanksgiving vacation. The service is made possible by members of the Senior Sunshine Society, Hi-Y Club, three readers from the Dramatics Department, the glee club and members of the band. The Thanksgiving Day observation is under the direction of Mrs. Jane Ward. Mr. DeBard and Le-banon's first orchestra in many years made their initial appearance on the Vespers program. 1950 Cedars Page Nine
