Classes have been graduated each year from 1876 up to the present except the years,l878, 1882, 1883, 1884 and 1885. The smallest class graduated was one in 1876, the largest one hundred and two in 1926. 4 The graduates of the high school at present are following seventy-two different vocations. Graduates now make their homes in thirty-four different states of the union and three foreign countries, Seven hundred and eighty-two or about one-half of the total number of graduates still reside in Boone County. One hundred and forty-one make their homes in Indianapolis and one hundred and thirty-six reside in other parts of Indiana. Forty live in Illinois, twenty-four in California, twenty-four in Ohio, seventeen in Florida and fifteen in New York, Cuba, Philippine Islands, Canal Zone, Indra and Greece each claims one graduate as a resident. The occupation claiming the greatest number of graduates is housekeep- ing, three hundred and seventy-seven being so classified. Eighty per cent of all girl graduates before the class of 1924 are now housekeepers. One hundred and thirty are teachers, coaches or school administrators. This is a larger group than is included in all the other professional occupations. Fifty-one per cent of the class of 1925 were in college, normal school, or business school the following school year. This is a much higher per centage than most schools will show. Two hundred and fifty-five graduates have entered the various profes- sions, the largest number being teachers, lawyers, physicians, chemists, en- gineers, musicians and journalists. This contest was held in connection with the fifteenth biennial f mf. tl, ,N meeting of the National Federation of Music Clubs. Miss Higgins is a student M zgflwlq at Butler .University this year.
